This Privacy Policy explains what information My TDEE Calculator (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit mytdeecalculators.com, how that information is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices you have.

By using this website, you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please stop using the site.

The short version

• The calculator does not send your health data anywhere. Your age, weight, height, gender, body-fat percentage, and activity level are processed entirely inside your own web browser. Those figures are never transmitted to our servers, never stored in a database, and never sold or shared.
• We do not require an account. You can use every feature of this site without registering or giving us your name.
• We use cookies, and so do our advertising partners. These help the site function, help us understand general traffic patterns, and allow advertisements to be displayed.
• You are in control. You can block or delete cookies, opt out of personalised advertising, and ask us to delete any information you have voluntarily sent us.

1. Information we collect

a) Information you enter into the calculator

The values you type into the TDEE calculator such as age, gender, height, weight, body-fat percentage, and activity level are used only to perform the calculation on your device. This processing happens locally in your browser using client-side code.

We do not receive this information. We do not log it, store it on a server, or transmit it to any third party. If your browser saves recent calculations for your convenience, that data is held in your own browser’s local storage and can be cleared at any time using the “Clear all history” control on the calculator or by clearing your browser data.

b) Information you give us voluntarily

If you email us or submit our contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send, typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit request, and we do not sell or rent contact details to anyone.

c) Information collected automatically

Like almost all websites, our servers and analytics tools automatically record certain technical information when you visit, which may include:

• Your IP address (often truncated or anonymised by our analytics provider)
• Browser type and version, operating system, and device category
• The pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and how long you stay
• The referring website or search engine that sent you here
• Approximate general location, usually at city or country level, inferred from your IP address

This information is aggregated and statistical. We use it to understand which content is useful, to detect technical problems, and to protect the site against abuse. We do not attempt to use it to identify individual visitors.

d) Information collected by our advertising partners

This website is free to use. Its running costs are covered by advertising.

Google AdSense. We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Please note the following:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.

Other advertising partners. Where we have not opted out of third-party ad serving, cookies belonging to other advertising vendors and networks may also be used to serve advertisements on this site. 4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. This service uses cookies and may collect your IP address, which is anonymised where that option is available.

If you would rather not be included in Google Analytics measurement at all, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on.

5. Legal bases for processing (visitors in the UK and EEA)

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases:

Visitors in California. Under the CCPA and CPRA you may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can limit this using the opt-out links in section 3. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Because the calculator itself sends us nothing, in most cases we simply hold no personal information about a visitor to retrieve or delete.

7. Data retention

• Calculator inputs: never received by us; retained only in your browser until you clear them.
• Contact correspondence: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted, unless a longer period is needed to resolve an ongoing matter or to meet a legal obligation.
• Analytics data: retained according to our analytics provider’s configured retention period, currently 14 months.

8. Data transfers

This website is operated from Pakistan, and our service providers including hosting, analytics, and advertising partners may process data on servers located in other countries, including the United States. Where personal information is transferred out of the UK or EEA, our providers rely on legal transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Calorie and body-composition tools are not appropriate for children without professional supervision. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use HTTPS encryption across the entire site and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold. The strongest protection here is structural rather than technical: the calculator does not transmit your health data in the first place, so there is no store of it to be compromised.

That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Links to other websites

Our pages may link to external sites like research papers, health organisations, or resources we have cited. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party website. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, our advertising partners, or the law. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on the site. Please review this page periodically.
